Prince Kibumi (黄文王)
The Prince Kibumi (year of birth unknown - July 28, 757) was a member of the Imperial Family who lived in the Nara period. His father was the Prince Nagaya. His mother was FUJIWARA no Nagako, who was a daughter of FUJIWARA no Fuhito.
He survived the Nagayao no Hen (Conspiracy of Nagayao) occurred in 729 because he was a sotomago (grandchild from a daughter married into another family) of FUJIWARA no Fuhito. When the revolt of TACHIBANA no Naramaro broke out in 757, he was pressed to be on the Imperial Throne by Naramaro. But when the Prince Asukabe, who was his older brother, made a confession, he was captured, forced to change his name to Kunatabure (stubbornly mad), then tortured to death.
